04 How an entry is made
01
Every fact traces to a filed document, an exchange disclosure or a report from an established newsroom. The sources sit at the foot of each entry.
Editorial policy02
Nothing publishes itself. An editor reads each entry against its sources before it goes live, and the page shows the date it was published and last updated.
How hoodpedia works03
The person or company an entry describes can claim it and send a correction with a source. Corrections are applied to the record, not argued in comments.
Send a correction05 Questions
Founders, operators, investors, authors and the companies they build, when there is a public record to write from. An entry states what a person or company is known for and cites where that comes from.
Yes. Send it through the Add entry form, or claim an existing entry if you are the subject. It goes into the same review queue as our own edits and is checked against your sources before it publishes.
That a member of the editorial team checked the entry against at least one primary source. It is not a paid placement and it does not make an entry final.
An entry is a record, not a pitch: one page per person or company, with the funding, the founding date, the people involved, the sources, and a visible date of last update. Advertising is labelled and cannot change an entry.
